第五届会长古国兴总结了过去几年协会的主要工作。他说，广东石材http://www.stonebuy.com/工业近几年发展迅速，目前全省有大小石材http://www.stonebuy.com/企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/近4000家，但技术水平差异较大，发展极不平衡。主要表现在不少石材http://www.stonebuy.com/企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/仍普遍存在的″小、土、散″现状。省石材http://www.stonebuy.com/协会提出″调整结构、科技兴石、创建名牌、扩大出口http://en.stonebuy.com/、促进发展″的要求，经过这几年的实施，初步取得成效。
云浮市近年约有60％的企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/进行技术装备的更新换代，先后有100多家石材http://www.stonebuy.com/企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/均投资几百万元扩建厂房和购置技术装备等，掀起″二次创业″高潮，极大改变云浮的石材http://www.stonebuy.com/企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/结构状况。云浮市今年初被授予″中国http://www.stonebuy.com石材http://www.stonebuy.com/基地中心″称号。
揭阳市揭东、茂名市信宜的石材http://www.stonebuy.com/企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/近年加大“结构调整，科技兴石”整治力度，取得较大发展。
新任会长殷华杰表示，协会今后将以产权为基础，通过联合、兼并参股，促进投资主体的多元化，组建一批大企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/、大集团，促进产业升级。充分利用市场http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/FuJian/QuanZhouShi.html竞争机制，让市场http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/FuJian/QuanZhouShi.html来压缩淘汰落后的生产企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/，严格限制低水平重复建设，改变目前我省石材http://www.stonebuy.com/行业“小、土、散”现状。同时，协会将协助企业http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/争创广东名牌石材http://www.stonebuy.com/，发展高品质、高档次、高附加值的名、优、特石材http://www.stonebuy.com/品种，树立我省石材http://www.stonebuy.com/大省形象。
